Introducing: The Secret Mandalas

Sometimes I get an idea and go with it, and other times I need to run the idea past some trusted colorists and friends to see if the idea is fun.

Several months ago I showed a set of secret extremely detailed mandalas to some people. I was able to take their feedback and started further drawing the book.

The mandalas in question are by far the most detailed I've ever drawn. I used a 2 pixel pen, which leaves a lot more space than details.

It's been a year and I'm 10 mandalas into a 25 page book. I did some soul searching and came to a conclusion: I don't enjoy drawing this level of detail.

But I sure don't want the hours that went into these 10 mandalas to be wasted. So I packaged them up for sale on my site.

I see these mandalas as best to color digitally, where you can zoom in. However, you are of course free to print and color. Print copies for you friends and challenge each other!

I'd be absolutely tickled to see what you do with these.
